About Omar Waqar: Omar Pitras Waqar is an American musician and a visual artist, He earned a Masters Certificate in song-writing and guitar from Berklee School of Music. Omar has been playing guitar since childhood and also plays sitar in the Imdad Khani Style. He dabbles with different percussion instrumentation as well as drums, but guitar and sitar continue to be his main instruments. Omar’s prolific body of work and seemingly endless various projects compelled him to start his own label to document his music, which he named Such Records, “Such” after the Urdu word for truth.

Omar has produced Hip-Hop, Drum and Bass, Jungle, and Experimental Electronica under the name of EvilArtForm. He has also been in a wide variety of bands in the Washington DC area, most notably Diacritical, whose independent release Omar co-produced with Don Zientara of Inner Ear Studios. He has also appeared on The BBC and VOA, and has been in LA Times, Newsweek, Rollingstone and other magazines and publications.
