About Donato and His Imperfections: I hate writing this kind of thing, but here is a brief description of myself: I enjoy writing pop/rock (and rap) songs and recording them in my bedroom. If I squint real hard it almost looks like a studio, but then my mom calls me for supper and reality quickly sinks in again. I try not to get too distracted by the fancy features of Pro Tools, and just focus on writing songs and keeping things fun. I've played drums since I was 10, and I sing/rap, play guitar and bass and I also now own a harmonica (thanks grandma!) I've been in bands that have played across the country in front of thousands of people at venues like The Roxy, House of Blues, Xtreme Thing, and the El Rey Theatre. I've also played really crappy venues with hardly anyone in attendance. Once named the 2nd best band in Vegas next to The Killers (I demand a recount!) Alternative Press Magazine called my band "one of the Top 10 Unsigned Acts in the US" and I got paid money to write a song for Sony Pictures (they used the Red Hot Chili Peppers instead, jerks), my music has been "featured" in indie movies and TV shows, and CMJ Magazine named me as one of the Top 50 Unsigned Artists in the country. I worked with award-winning Engineer/Producer David Cole (Steve Miller, Bob Seger) and Eddy Schreyer (Queen, The Offspring). Played with the bands Flogging Molly, Plain White T's, The Killers, Meg and Dia, Otherwise, and Sebastian Bach. Blah, blah...those are some of my "accomplishments" up to this point.
